1965 We all went through submarine escape training. This is the escape tower at Groton CT.
1971 Sail planes in position after breaking through polar ice for the first time. Photo passed out to me after reporting on board.
1972 On a northern patrol Trepang found this iceberg 220 ft from waterline to summit. We broke radio silence to inform shipping.
1999 After decommission parts of Trepang were cut out and sent to Smithsonian. Here is our Control Room.
1999 Three main panels of Maneuvering Room were Propulsion Plant Reactor and Electric Plant Control Panels from Trepang.
1999 Part of the Smithsonian display here is the USS Trepang s Crew s Mess.
